Good Coffee and Fave Book w/ Book & Borders Cafe

When good coffee and favorite book meet, it would definitely be a relaxing “me-time” with Book & Borders Cafe.

My work as a Technical Consultant got me assigned to different places in the metro that lead me to discover places to read and get my coffee fix.

One of them was Book & Borders Cafe in Mckinley. I make it a point to get early in the assigned time, maybe to avoid traffic and did read all materials to prepare for work. From there, got to pick my favorite books and read some of the chapters that would make me buy that in the bookstore.

When I was assigned for five months in Quezon City area this year, their Timog Branch was my hang-out place to kill time everytime traffic was all around. Just lazing out for two hours was not enough to finish a book and I did not mind at all because will go back by tomorrow to continue reading it.

Last month, Book & Borders Cafe opened their 3rd branch in Eastwood that made me excited to attend. Imagine coming from the south and bracing going up the northern part of the metro was quite an effort but I didn’t mind at all.

Same also with their two branches, the space got a bright yet cozy space and rustic interior.

Formally opening its doors Saturday of November 26, 2016, Book & Borders promises awesome drinks,  great food and hours of fun reading which we just did while waiting for the formal ribbon cutting aside from catching up foodie friends around.

We got the opportunity to be treated also with their additional special dishes that were thoughtfully prepared by the resident chef.

Aside from the cafe’s signature drinks such as the Salted Hot Chocolate, Iced Coffee Fudge, Hazelnut Frappe and desserts, we enjoyed their delicious comfort food like their rice meal, Tempura and Chicken Teriyaki.

As the guests wined and dined, singer and self-confessed bookworm, Karylle, serenaded the guests with renditions of her favorite songs. Christian Bautista, Carlo Orosa, Keiko Necesario, Gio Levy and Bullet Dumas followed it up with another round of special performances.

More than offering a cozy escape to read and study, Book & Borders Eastwood becomes a welcoming space where one can enjoy a quiet meal with friends, family or your special someone.

I just did. Hopefully in the future, when I have a chance again to have a project in Eastwood, I got a new place to pass the time, avoid the traffic, and savor the calm yet quiet time of reading my favorite coffee and books at Book & Borders Eastwood.
