Even one is in a tight budget, one deserve highest in its quality.
It was always our mantra after we celebrated our 25th anniversary last year was to go to a place we have never been before.
Even we were on the tight budget, we focus on seat sale where we scheduled early then its up to go for our Asian hop-in country.
When I was trying to book our stay, came across Bou Savy Guest House. Actually it was a no brainer if you will not avail it. It’s $ 14.40 (Php 700.00).
Still here were the perks as we decided to book for a 2-night stay:
- 20% discount
- free one-time dinner
- free breakfast for 2 days
- free pick-up service from the airport / bus station and vice-versa
Usually our hotel stay per night cost $ 100.00 (Php 5,000.00) per night with free breakfast but taxi and dinner were at cost with us.
True to their word, after Bou Savy got our flight details, they were on time picking us up at the airport.
Even we arrived almost at night, love the coziness of the place surrounded by trees. They also offered us free fruit shakes.
This bed-and-breakfast type of stay was clean, pristine an well-maintained.
We got a non-smoking fan room but all the basic amenities are there that includes::
- Bathroom / shower room with Toiletries / Towels and Hair Dryer
- Ceiling fan
- Coffee/tea making facilities
- Electricity adapters
- Mini bar and Refrigerator with Coffee/tea making facilities
- TV with cable
This made me also work where wifi is available with a working desk and table lamp provided.
Yes, I will be working. When I announced via my social media account that will be visiting Cambodia where my superior saw it, he gave me some assignment. Fair enough as I will be spending that allowance to our temple run tour expenses for two (2) days.

Maybe a bit tired and have to sleep ASAP. We will be ready for an early temple run. When I say early, we have to woke up to catch the sunset in Angkor Wat.
It was breeze for us to go from one temple to another as Bou Savy also takes care of us in booking it.
As we were waiting for our ride, there is a rustic vibe around the surrounding. Quaint but so elegant.
The staff has to wake us up as our breakfast were packed also, We will just eat them along our tour. There were lot of breads, jams, butter, scrambled eggs, pancakes and fruits in two boxes.
It was a jampacked adventure – from temple hopping, client visits and watching cultural show with buffet offering at night.
Definitely, I will have a separate posts from these activities.
Early morning, we had our heavy yet full breakfast ready. I remembered there was unlimited tea / coffee where we can do a self-service to prepare it. Yes, with lot of lemons on the side for my tea.
It was a relaxing day as we splurge to the swimming pool where it was inviting and clean.
Before I forgot, when we arrived I also asked the staff regarding the bus station going to Bangkok, Thailad He suggested to book it early. I am trusted to gave them the money to do it for me.
Since we did not avail the dinner, what the staff did was to gave us again a pack lunch for both of us.
Again it was a bliss – a ride to the bus station free with a booked seats.
I hate to say goodbye but its time. Again, it was a pleasure to be conveniently staying when you know that you were well-taken care of.
Overall, even one is in a tight budget, one deserve highest in its quality as what we experience with Bou Savy. It was nice to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary here.
