No one is in charge of your happiness, except you.

Sometimes when I got irritated, the first comment on my husband, are you in menopausal stage?

Haha, a joke.  Even I’m in early 40’s, I don’t experience one since I got still my menstrual period.

I have already seen my loved ones like my mother but she gracefully survived with it.

How about me?

Age is just a number and definitely, a woman would come to that stage where I have to face it that I can survive and make it.

Anyway, part of my consultancy work is to do planning and researching.   Be aware of it and how to do it also graciously are some of the key ideas.

When that time would come, I can more or less be prepared.

What is menopause?

A natural biological process that signals the decline of reproductive hormones and the end of fertility, the onset of its symptoms might be disruptive that they can trigger anxiety attacks and feelings of sadness or loss.

  • Irregular periods
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Sleeplessness
  • Mood swings
  • Weight Gain
  • Slowed metabolism
  • Thinning hair and dry skin
  • Lower energy and loss of body fullness

As I combined all those researches that I got, here are some of the ways and means to face them naturally:

1.   Yoga Practice

If you are following me in Instagram feeds, I’m doing yoga for the past 2 years already. Not that religiously, still simple D-I-Y posts would do to keep me relax and calm.

Stretching promotes better blood circulation all over the body which includes female reproductive tract on the abdomen part.

2.  Drink plenty of liquids

As in water and healthy drinds, not caffeine nor liquor as these drinks can add up more tension when you are in menopausal stage.

3.  Complete sleep in a day

Seven to eight hours would do.

4.  Inhale-Exhale method

I remembered after we finished each exercise, its a routine that we have to do inhale-exhale practice.  I always do this after I had a run, hiking or swimming – 10 breaths in 1 minute.  This was also my routine when I suddenly experienced asthma attack.

Morning meditate in a Sunday like this is a perfect time to plan for a productive week. Therapeutic.

When having a menopausal stress, it would made you slow down once you started to breath in and out.

5.  Massage

This would relief some pain that would remedy some of its symptoms.

6. Putting what you feel in a note.

Good thing that I already started blogging. From there, it releases the tension when one is writing what you feel and later on, reflection and compassion come along with your feeling.  It is a relief factor.

There you have it.

Again, I’m taking ways to make the menopausal stage easy-peasy once I already experience one.  There are still other natural methods and there is no harm on trying it.

When this time comes, now I know what to do.  At the end of the day, we are always in charge of our mental space.  It’s our choice to create a positive mood to enjoy more life to its fullest.
