Pushing Momentum to Become Fitter

Pushing Momentum to Become Fitter

We have to produce positive results in our lives to get that lasting effects of success or else it will just come and go.

Pushing Momentum to Become Fitter

After a full-blown work for 3 days, 4-day workout with additional physical activities and sudden change on the way I eat my meal preferences, I felt I was exhausted as I shared this with  my previous post.  Even I got complete sleep in a day, still I was tired because my whole body was aching sooo much.  Certainly, there were also some backlogs with other work because I cannot do it anymore but to snuggle.

I just felt I want a total rest after my flight going back to the city.  I was also worried there were other work-related stuffs that I have not yet completed even I already started it.  It really crossed to my mind to cancel this weekend out-of-town camp con seminar even I already paid the said trip.

But guilt feeling cropped to my mind.

From six of us who will be participating, we were down to four.  If I will back-out, how about those three persons which I encouraged beforehand to be with me.

The opportunity of seeing also Anawangin  for the second time will be re-scheduled even I have already those plans that I can extend my physical work-out here.

Those above circumstances let me push thru with the out-of-town event.

If I can do my work while I was waiting in the airport and waiting for the out-of-town camp, then somehow, I can finished those pending works.   Haay, do you know what happen?  When I started to send those files, my laptop were run-out of battery.  Worst, I did not have a chance of saving some of them.

Now I have to face those consequences of not submitting my work when I decided to join the trip.    Again,  I was down.

When I saw friends  and acquaintances got those smile and excited about the trip,  suddenly, this boost my morale.

What I will be sharing with you was the next two days in getting those momentum to become more fitter.  To make it more enticing, I will also share our trip to Anawangin Cove located at San Antonio, Zambales.

Anawangin Cove Mountain Trekking-25

We got there thru 30-minute boat ride from Barangay Pundaguit.  According to locals that I have talked during the camp, after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo bought  the rise of the Anawangin cove with those trees growing and ash/sand mixture around which become famous outdoor camp site.

Anawangin Cove Zambales-1

Anawangin Cove Zambales-46

I substituted my 4-minute exercise suggested by Coach Jim Saret with the activities I can do at the camp like:

  • Swimming at the beach
  • Trekking at the hill
  • Walking along the whole beach shore

Anawangin Cove Zambales-54

Anawangin Cove Mountain Trekking-27

The organizer provided also free drinks like beer and cola.  I opted to drink water instead.    Some of the food served to us were also fresh like this fish ready for grilling and mix veggies for appetizers.  Other food for meal were pork barbeque and chicken adobo.  I bought with me bananas and mangoes for fruits.

Anawangin Cove-17
Anawangin Cove-19

There were hours we did our bonding within the group by discussing about Search Engine Optimization  (SEO).  Those were casual talks where people just come to exchange ideas and simply to listen.  From there, I love the presence of young professionals engaged in another facets of information technology.   Definitely, I gain new acquaintances that later can be one of the circle of friends.

When the seminar proper was about to start at night,   my bad, I slept early.  Maybe because some of the activities we did in the morning that let me rest early in that evening.

Anawangin Cove Zambales-48

This was the first time that SEO Organization Philippines conducted this kind of out-of-town activity.  The travel back and forth going to the camp went on smoothly, friendly people around and mostly, the camp site venue was really great.  So. kudos to the organizers! Overall, friends and hubby enjoyed the whole gathering.

Anawangin Cove-63

Anawangin Cove New Friends and Acquaintances-12

Definitely, there were more improvements and suggestions along the way like  embedding games and activities that would led to SEO concepts and camaraderie among the group.  Hope they can also provide soft copy of the presentations that they discussed.

For me who like to become fitter, I am now experiencing the process of doing more physical activity that led me to less prioritize other things to do for the simple reason I was soo tired.  I really do not like to happen this again that I was cropping up to the rush of submitting other priorities that I left unattended.

Again, this is just a beginning. From there, I can more or less balance the time now I am seeing the result in getting to with this kind of activity.   Have to really plan my schedule now that workout can be included the way I live with it.    At the end of the day, we have to produce also positive results in our lives to get a lasting success or else it will just come and go.

I Heart Earth at Nuvali – Sta. Rosa Laguna

I Heart Earth at Nuvali – Sta. Rosa Laguna

I Heart Earth

“We are only living in one earth, be involve – don’t blow it rather cherish it and mostly, love it.”

Ever since we transferred here in Laguna, me and hubby oriented our children to appreciate nature. Rather than going to the mall, we introduced them that there are other activities to be done like biking, jogging, reading books, picnic but especially to appreciate green environment.

One of the places aside from U.P. Los Banos oval field where we jog and have a picnic under fertility tree is Nuvali at Sta. Rosa Laguna.

There were times that I accompanied my parents to visit the place and they simply love it. I just like them to see that our decision to move in the south is really a worth having this nature very close to our home.

Aside from the activities I mentioned, here are some unique activities everyone can enjoy:

  • Feeding the Koi

Hundreds of them literally jumping out of the water grabbing the food as all of them are flourished the side of the lake.  Koi’s feeds can be buy at P 15.00 per pack.

  • Water taxi ride along the eco-river

The trip travel is a 10-minute ride around the lagoon area that has fountains and bridge to enjoy it more. The water taxi can accommodate 10 persons. Cost of the ride per person is P 30.00.

  • Evolving Center

Evolving Center is located at the end of the lagoon – sort of museum structure which exhibits interactive and harmonious lifestyle in green environment.

I am passionate with recyclables and green materials. I would love to have this set of eco-friendly furniture to our home.

These are some of the eco-attraction I can show to you.  Personally you have to visit the place to see for yourself.

I would like to share with you this simple video on the plans they are offering which I myself personally saw some of this development:

This is not just an eco-friendly tour.  There are definitely life lesson reminders I have learned here as I like to share this with you.  Actually we know it already and sometimes we do not bother to practice it:

  • Involve our loved ones especially our children to a more worth while activities that will appreciate nature at its best.  Their playful hobby do not stop in playing video/on-line games or just watching cable television.  Go out, stroll, bike and jog.
  • Practice recycles by separating our trashes from biodegradable to non-biodegradable which will begin right thru our home.
  • Involve ourselves in eating healthier food like vegetables and fruits
  • Use eco-friendly bag or native bag instead of plastics during our groceries or going to market

I am quite fret with the ever-increasing populations who are transferring in the area.  Hopefully not only the developer but the neighboring community will stick to their commitment of sustainable environment and maintain how to best take care of them by continuous awareness to our mother earth-  God’s ever marvelous creation.

Anyway beside these worth while activities, Nuvali always in-store activities every month to excite their visitors in this eco-community environment.  I for one will definitely bring the whole family one of these weekends to make their summer more eco-friendly.

This month of May 2011, Nuvali organized an event called “I  Love Earth” – designed to educate environment and understand the knowledge in living a healthy lifestyle.  Check their banner announcement below for the complete set of activities. For more information, click their website link  - http://www.nuvalievoliving.com/

Hopefully, when you are just along the south  (Tagaytay, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas), you can check Nuvali’s place now that there are lot of attractions and activities this summer.

Do let me know your insights and hopefully this simple place return us back to what really means what an urban living is…

To Travel is to Discover Life

To Travel is to Discover Life

“To travel is to take a journey into yourself”   – Danny Kaye

As I start my another new month for Live Life Fullest (LLF) this March, it would definitely be another great month. I thought I cannot survive to post more or less with this blog.  Still I manage to do it as the juices of sharing my experiences in living life to the fullest can become outmost a reality hopefully day by day.

I will start my new month with a bang.  Why?  Because I just got a new assignment to consult people in Visayan area no other than Cebu – from food,  customs, places to visit and most especially new people that I will be meeting there.  Since this is also start of summer, experiencing the hot sun in the beach in this early would be a great head on!

To share with you, one thing that I love also with my work is that it also entails travel.  Now I can enjoy it more  - that is, I can work but at the same time I can also explore the place.

I was been in Cebu last ten years ago. What were the changes that were gone through after that long years?  I picture myself to be a foreigner with my own country as I do not know now places I can visit.

But what is the benefit of travelling?

  • Personally, travelling is an opportunity to share yourself to family, loved ones and friends.  As we travel, we create memories.  We spend those moments with them that would last a long time experience.  Reminiscing each day travelling with our loved ones is a great activity as we can give them also as a gift.
  • Travelling also is a form of revitalizing our stressful life.  Taking a vacation trip give us a chance to recharge and sustain again our enthusiasm to work. Burn-out will be the effect if do not sustain our work-life balance.  We deserve a get away, so give it to yourself.
  • Discovering different walks of life can also be a learning for each travel.  We begin to taste it, learn and moreseo endure with it.  We began to appreciate magnificent places that we once saw in magazines or postcards.

If you happen to be in a new place, be proactive in discovering different places.  I remembered when I was still young then with my carreer, I was caged to my work transferring to one place to another different places.  I just have to think of my work plan and even got this grudges that I will be missing my family when I was far with them.  Most of my trips, I didn’t enjoy them.   Funny to think, I gone to those places long time ago but did not have that enough good memories to lean on.

Now I have given my chance to again explore this opportunities.  I am taking again the leap to experience places and refresh tremendous opportunities for fun, adventure and discoveries.  Still young, I will definitely do not like to miss those escapades of my life that I can do and explore more.  It would be a pity if I will start doing what I love if I am already aged.

Part of compiling my thoughts here in this blog is also to share the places I gone through where I can contribute my  thoughts about the places I visited.  My travel journal will aso serve as my fondiest yet wondrous memories I can keep. Abunday surprises as it maybe, this will serve as a treasure to keep forever!

2nd Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 – China and France

2nd Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 – China and France

“The fireworks begin today. Each diploma is a lighted match. Each one of you is a fuse”   – Edward Koch

Since our family were very fond watching fireworks, we make it a point to plan our trip to this biggest display at MOA even we were living down far south.

We most enjoy witnessing this Pyromusical Competion compared to New Year Countdown even there were shows around. Difference?  The fireworks got this musical background which make it more amazing.  It is like a lot of light dancing in the midst of the air!

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

Luckily, me and hubby got a chance to witness China and France competition through an invite to a fellow blogger, Mr. Melo.

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

Actually, I let hubby really join this event as he will be the one to take pictures. I will be the one to document it, take the video while witnessing it right thru my naked eye.

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

Am I unfair?  I guess not.  I am just giving him the opportunity to his passion, photography and go to my stuff, document everything about the event.

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

My daughter, Regina who also fond of taking pictures helped us out to document this event. These are some of her photos:

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

Love how she took it!

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

We do not only witness this event but more so I also witness cooperation and understanding among the family members. Its quite awkward to me and hubby to be separated with the kids, both of us in the VIP area while the three of them in the Gold seats part. The three just enjoyed to be with each other as I told them our role with this event. Again, no qualms, just acceptance and they too are sooo happy to be with this event.

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

All of us agree as family members, I guess that China is much far better than France. Mot of the synchronization of the music goes with the fireworks. The smiley face that scattered the sky is truly amazing.

Phil. International Pyromusical Competition 2011 - China and France

Got also to meet some of the bloggers.

Nurturing Spirits by Reading

Nurturing Spirits by Reading

Reading is an intellectual food for the mind.

I heart reading – books that uplift spirits and colorful magazines that depicts travel, food and health.  I always bring one in my bag as my companion to beat the traffic, waiting for a meeting or simply have a coffee.

Readings to Nurture, Live Life to the Fullest

Previously, have lot of technical books (computer programming) but have to stop buying them because of obsolescence.  I just have to enroll and subscribe myself to different blog posts in the internet related to tech stuff just to keep me going.

Readings to Nurture, Live Life to the Fullest

Some of the authors I am crave about are mostly John Maxwell collections.  The all-time favorites like Robert Kyosaki, Stephen Covey, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Spencer Johnson, Anthony Robins, Seth Godin and still many to mention.  Anyway, as long that it is a good book, I am ok with it.

For the locals, I love all the books of Bo Sanchez.  All the content is easy to understand, relating real life short stories yet so practical.  I even give this as a gift to my friends if there would be occasions to celebrate or a sort of gratitude to acknowledge.

Readings to Nurture, Live Life to the Fullest

But how do I evaluate the books I buy?

Most of my time in a mall is going to a bookstores and spending to read the first chapters of it.  Once I cannot stop reading the book that captures my attention, tendency have to buy from there or definitely will come back.

Readings to Nurture, Live Life to the Fullest

Another fascination that I love is reading magazines – travel, food, health and home living.   I enjoyed browsing the colorful pictures and the content.

Readings to Nurture, Live Life to the Fullest

I got a monthly subscriptions from La Isla Magazine of Air Philippines,  collections from Travelife where most of their contents are places here and abroad.  These also serve as my guiding compass if my family and friends will go out of town – like places to visit, resto to eat.

For food mag, Yummy magazine will always be my companion where every issue give me the idea in preparing gourmet dishes for family and friends as I also love to cook.

But what are the benefits of reading?

Reading enhances creative thinking and imagination as we acquire not only knowledge but noble virtues.

I remember one of my aged mentor told me that to beat Alzheimer disease is to keep yourself reading all sort of materials as it stimulates growing up not  to grow old.

Readings can also contain valuable ideas that would guide us to life, sort of inspiration to achieve success.

If that is the case, make it a hobby, it would be a great source of recreation as we feed our mind and soul!

There is No Place like Home

There is No Place like Home

“There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort”  ~ Jane Austen

Home gives us a special feeling that no other can give us. Home is the best place that we can have.

As the new year starts, we felt also the urge to rearrange our home as I am craving for simple yet locally native decors to make it shabby chic.

Definitely, my budget must not suffer.  What we did is to explore Dapitan Arcade as our family troop to buy a low-cost myriad of decors that will fit  our gusto.

Dapitan Arcade, Live Life to the Fullest

This is ever since my favorite haunt for decorations as we scour the slab all over the place.

Dapitan Arcade, Live Life to the Fullest

Still, why do we have to take time to make our home a better place to live in?

I would like to share this quotable words shared by Frederick Robertson:

Home is the one place in all this world where hearts are sure of each other.

It is the place of confidence. It is the place where we tear off that mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts.

It is the spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness and without any dread of ridicule.

Is your home still your happy and best place for you?  Hope so…

Great Reason to Blog More

Great Reason to Blog More

When I am starting to do LLF short for Live Life Fullest as my new project for 2011, I said to myself that I will really find time even my schedule is too cropped up with the stuffs to do.

Here are some of my work planned routines for the first quarter of the year:

  • Training schedules to the client would took 4 – 8 hours depending on the capacity on how they will pick up the learning
  • Meeting/consultative talk would took 2 hours the most to brainstorm the concepts
  • Finalizing/preparation would occupy 2 – 4 hours depending in the severity of work project if its low, medium to high priority.

Going to the work place would took me a two-hour drive back and forth. Utmost at night, I am looking forward for my bed to sleep.

Since blogging is working and posting online, I have to plan my cyberspace  time if I really like to pursue it.  Now I have to plot my timeline schedule:

  • I have to wake up early, 4am the most.  I can also reap the benefits of full speed of my internet connection working on the said schedule.  At home, we have a SMART BRO – a wireless connection. I have been subscribing the said broadband internet service for three years. My first worry then when we transferred our home was internet connection because by that time, phone was out of reach along the area.  SMART BRO is the answer.

  • Since I have with me a plug-it gadget, I can schedule my surfing during breaks.  Even I bought the Smart Bro Plug-It when it was first release then, I really did not bother to use it.  Now it’s about time! I am anticipating a work on the go and this is the advantage of the plug-it gadget.   Visibility connection along the metro is also high.  As long I have a prepaid load,  I can be connected anywhere, anytime I want.

  • I can also use my travel travel time by riding in a Wi-Fi Bus like JAC Liner. Something new?  What struck me when I traveled by bus was to find out that it was wifi equipped and it’s free.

JAC Liner, WIFI Bus, Live Life to the Fullest

Not only the bus is new and fast, JAC liner is the first wifi bus in the Philippines that offer this services.   Curios as I am, have check it as I get my netnote and ask the conductor what internet connection they are using.  Its Globe’s 3G.  It is secured then as he even gave me the password to use.

Whoow, I love the internet speed as I try to open my updates to my social network links and checked also my email.

One will not be bored on the journey as providing this high-end technology can be a great way to enjoy travel despite also the traffic along the way.  This can be a helpful guide to travelers who are new in exploring the place.

JAC Liner, WIFI Bus, Live Life to the Fullest

Now do I have the reason not to blog anymore even I am traveling going to the workplace as my predicament not to continue this passion?

I don’t think so! Given me the chance to be online, surfing and updating my blog can be a great alternative while you are on the road or anywhere.

Truly, the quote encompasses its reason that “if there’s a will, there’s a way” as I nurture  my passion to blogging.
