I am now a certified addicted to tablets especially their apps, I may say.  Sayang, I already got those gadgets more than a year now.  Why not give it a time to maximize and explore its use?  Anyway,  it is also one way to appreciate how technology goes to make maybe our life more easier.

To fully explore my new found love to gadget is to try another apps which was recommended by fellow tech friends – Streetfood Tycoon.

I got to record also how very easy for a 10-year old kid like my daughter to be acquainted and play the game who  is a certified addicted to gaming.

• The main concept of the game  is  to increase the earnings by arranging the complete ingredients of the product by “tapping it” one by one once you saw the order
• On lower right side is a sponge.  Tapping it will keep the area clean.
• If  you happen to prepare wrong food ingredient, tap the waste can button on the lower left.

Tips to increase your earnings  and other benefits:

• Serve the order right and on time or else, customer will leave.  There is a timer at the topmost right that monitors the order.
• Once you have enough earnings, you can use it to upgrade for a new cart, additional products to sold like fishball and kwek-kwek.
• Be sure to get the tip jar, speakers and lucky teddy for upgrades to have an added income.

I found the game hooked up for one day and I was stuck playing it for the whole afternoon weekend.  Killing time, I suppose as I got those challenging tricks to keep me going.

Overall, I  love the whole environment especially that Filipino technoprenuers like Kuyi Mobile who are engaging themselves to  develop this kind of application.  I already recommended it to my friends who got also the same line of gadgets to install and try the game.  Most of them felt the game is sooo easy and best recommended to children for playing.

I cannot compare Streetfood Tycoon with other application games that I have already encountered.   Maybe far beyond but  what matters most is that those ideas are turning into reality to us Filipinos to become someday a forefront runner in technology.

Not a bad start.  After all, the best people to work for would always and only begin to us.

When tablet technology was unleashed two years ago, I was not that quite intrigued.  For me it was just a fad.   But when some of my clients were asking about it and asked my recommendation, I got those thoughts to really check it out.  Questions like, can they transfer their business applications using those tablets?

Honestly , I was bit fret.  I had to go with the trend no matter what.  Moreso this is my bread and butter.  Have to got those push to really appreciate, learn and love it.

I have asked some of my tech friends and still recommended me to checked the technology of Angry Bird behind.  If I enjoyed it, then, I can have the introduction of apps navigation.

Another one is Temple Run which I enjoyed more.  Maybe because this is more matured looking rather than those cartooned angry birds. LOL!

Description:

Temple Run is a 3d hunting adventure game where the lead character got those treasure but has to navigate to a lot of  challenging routes and maze.  At the same time, the lead character was chasing by monkeys at the back and collecting those coins along the way.

Got to download free Temple Run via iTunes  and start playing with the help of my daughter.

Here were some of my insights:

• I am like an Indiana Jones here chased by monkeys escaping through bricks, stones, bridges (mostly cut) and wooden paths.  Lot of  maze, criss-cross jumping and running I suppose.  There were many tricky corners along the way.

• Yes, my common missed out tactics to game were the effort to control the jump scenario mostly if I will be doing it either right or left.  I got this technique with my daughter to tilt those fingers to get  control and up to the next level.

• Do not also forget to tap those coins along the way.   The coins can be use for power-ups, extra life, new characters and invisibility.

The only objective of the game is “to survive” as long as you can.  The points are very rewarding and can be redeemed.  As of now, my present score is 80,000 and Jam got 140,000 points.

This game focused more on swiping and reacting to the phases of challenges with different environment.  Just try to ignore those skull-faced-monkey behind who ready to drag you and the rest, you will enjoy the whole game.

Overall, I love the 3d effect of Temple Run and one of the best gaming experience in iOS so far.  Again, the game is free for download.  But the best thing, got those bonding moments also with my daughter.

I love technology innovation.  Name it – internet banking, e-commerce, web based applications particularly portal, e-learning and social networking.

Recently I found out Lenddo that offers financial assistance to employed individuals that uses their online social network connection to assess the credibility to loan.   There are no traditional loan requirements like submitting car/land title for collateral.

• Yes, I like to increase my score.  What I did was to link my account to Facebook, Yahoo, GMail and Linkedln.  I have also put my profile picture which  increase more my score.

• Once you got a minimum 400 score requirement, you can already enter your financial information and already build the trusted community.

I am a person that as much as possible do not like to go out that would add up to expenses like travel, parking, food but mostly, waste of time.  If I can do everything virtually and online at home, I would gladly do so.  That is maybe the reason behind I highly recommend Lenddo.

I have already mentioned some improvements with the registration form which made me input again all the fields after I was not qualified with the password.  I got also an email with them but more on a Welcome Note. One has a some sort of a link for confirmation to verify the authenticity of  the email address.

As promised and share to you with my recent post,  I will be bringing my daughter Jam here in Nido Discovery Center’s National Astronomy Week which is the last day.    Even Jam love to go around to check the whole place again, we headed to Planetarium to watch “Ultimate Universe” and “Year 2012:  Will the World End”.

Jam was soo talkative inside relating me what she had read in the book especially when she saw the planet Mars with two moons rotating to its planet.  More and more relating topics she shared and glad to know my kid more appreciative to see the show applying what she have learned from the traditional school.

The highlight of the National Astronomy Week 2012 focused more on the discussion about enlightenment about the truth on the predicted December 21, 2012 end of the world based on the Mayan calendar.  Speculations grounded on religious perspectives.

Through these series symposium shared by different invited guest speakers during the event, their talks focused on physics and astrophysics have to say about the end of the world.

We got to see also the different meteorites that were displayed on that day.

Now the real fun begins!  Even Jam already got here during her field trip, she still enjoyed the Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center.   Honestly,  I appreciated it more with her when she started to do a tour with me.

From bedroom, media city, transportation nation, spaceship earth   planets, virtual reef, robot inc and a lot more – the whole Science center holds the big convention of science concepts.

We even got to talk to Mr. T, a cartoon fish that interacted from the guests from the Virtual Reef which make the tour more interactive and digitized about Philippine coral reefs and marine life.

The science museum really taught me and my kid to learn science again in fun and interactive way.  I suggest it is more appreciative if you will personally visit the educational center with your family.

Every time my kids got this field trip in the metro every year, their last stop was Mall of Asia – from playing to different arcades around, getting a quick bite, shopping but most of all, visiting notable places like experience to watch in IMAX-3D presentation and going to Nido Science Discovery Center. They only told me those happy stories but never have a chance to be with them.

When I was invited to see Nido Science Discovery Center to witness National Astronomy Week between February 18 – 25, I blocked my schedule to check what is inside to verify those happy moments as kids were sharing to me.

Here is the event all about:

Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center with Philippine Astronomical Society presents National Astronomy Week – “2012:  The Universe Survvies”.  From February 18-25, 2012, witness new outer-space photo display, meteorites exhibit, amazing star gazing and Astronomy Convention Seminar by international and local speakers. 

First stop is the Planetarium. I like to check if it was the same thing when I saw it when I was in college which was just almost infront of our school. The Digistar 15-meter dome Planetarium is far, far different on how it is today.

The dome is more fully interactive, like a real time 3d astronomical escapade around back with digital sound to compliment the whole viewing pleasure.  We have watched the “2012: The Universe Survives”.  Sorry, we were not allowed to take videos nor pictures around to capture those ones.  Maybe it is also great that I can fully be concentrated on what I will be viewing rather than busy doing photo ops.

The guest speakers headed by Mr. George Martin from International Planetarium Society discussed about a fascinating topic about Venus entitled “A Little Black Dot:  The Transit of Venus”.  Mr. Chris Go of University of San Carlos, a young astronomer shared also his topic “From Webcam to Hubble: An Adventure of a Planetary Imager”.

I was about to go home that night but still I got a ticket for the entrance in Stargazing which will be its last day.

Stars, planets (which can also considered also as stars) and constellations got those prominent places in the sky based on old stories.  These were confirmed true by scientists and astronomers throughout the time.

I would really like to check those myths by observing those stars through stargazing. Headed by U.P. students together with their professor who did the set-up of different telescope. We went at the back of the mall right infront of the sea shore where the we got a clear night with the bright lights of the city. With their help, we able to see distant stars and planets.

Once you saw them at the sky, expect it was not the same we were seeing in encyclopedia or the internet.  Personally, with my naked eye, I got to see the snapshots of small objects far, far millions away.

For the first telescope, got the sneak peak of Jupiter and Mars.  So it is really true, both were side by side and both separated by Asteroid belt.

Got to view also clusters of stars which is like rosary beads interconnected with one another.  I do not know if this is the “Pleiades”.   According to stories, the interconnection of the stars was actually seven.  What I have seen was only six.

From the big telescope among the three, I have seen Orion’s Belt which consist of three big bright stars in orion’s constellation known as “Three Marys” or “Tatlong Maria”

Whow, really, really nice experience to end my weekday with this fruitful yet a scientific escapade date with stars and planet.  What more, experiencing to do stargazing for the first time!

Love  to recall one of my favorite subject – Science especially the planets. All of which made me recall my love to planets, stars and constellations 101 series.  LOL!

I have no qualms to visit it over and over again Nido Science Discovery Center. I will definitely bring my kid here to experience what I had since this is also Jam’s favorite subject.

Constant communications with clients like meeting, project coordination, email exchange or simple coffee chat are usual routine for me in a week.  There were times I will assist them buying their hardware or gadgets even they know I am their software consultant.  Well, clients are like that, once you know computer, they think you know everything about it.    I am quite doomed with this.  Because of fast tract tech updates, sometimes learning a new gadget is an added stress to me.  Maybe because of so many things in mind that I like to prioritize that learning this new hip in technology can add to my time.

This is the reason why all of a sudden I attended a bloggers’ night that tackles about different tech gadgets that clicks to the market.  Maybe if someone will present and demonstrate the products to me personally, I can understand it more rather than reading and researching.  I can have also a full glance and hands-on experience the benefits of why I have to purchase one which is beneficial to me and to my clients.

Actually, I did not get many pictures during the event.  Why?  Because I was devoting myself going from one table to another, reading the specs, asking questions and listening.  Maybe in this point in time, I just decided to absorb what I can get.

I have posted my predicaments with this link – Chance to Change last November 2 as the way I am checking my key performance output in the past succeeding months that  make me realize I am quite unproductive.

Maybe they were plans that supposed to be done and disgusted on the result.   I have opened my dilemma to my best friend.  He told me to take even a one-day vacation then after that, write all my “things to do” stuff and prioritize them one by one.

Yes, I have followed his advices.  As I wrote them on my lists – I felt I was doomed again as I recognized all the activities in my plate are my priorities.  Actually I do not know where to start then because everything just cropped up to my mind.

Last recourse was to tell it to my hubby.  I have shown him my lists and reminded me what  I always advise him, that is – you have to go on and on and on! No ifs, no buts,  you have to do it, as in now!  His parting word – “at least it is much better to do something or anything comparing of not doing it at all”.

I don’t know if its timely.  But have you seen the new Globe commercial?

Yes, this is what I am feeling right now and it is just making sense!

The Globe commercial “Go lang ng Go” is about positive vibes. It is taking chances on the passionate things you really love to do with your life.

The hashtag tweet #TodayIWill Globe campaign is soooo viral that thousands took part sharing their own views that even celebrities also participated.

This included Smart endorser Anne Curtis that also posted “Today I will let go and let God” got by Pinoy Gossip Boy with this link.  One cannot deny the positivity of the advertisement that even a top beautiful endorser like Anne Curtis  in other telco network spoke her mind and tweet it!

LOL! True to her tweet -” let go” even if this means at the end there would be negative vibes on what she has done not thinking the result. As long that is how she feels, it is just A-ok!  Just go for it!  According to Pinoy Gossip Boy, this was already removed.  Honest mistake?  I don’t know, after all it is how she expressed her life.  C’est la vie!

My thoughts:

Life is after all about risks and one can only do that if you only leap and really, really jump.

Do not wait just because we always look of analyzing things so much.  It is a waste buster.

You have to take chances.

I have gone to corporate life last 2005 and by then I planned my life to do freelance work to prioritize my own time for family and most especially for myself where I can do more what I love to do – teaching and doing I.T. consultancy work.

Looking back after six (6) years, I am already taking actions having a set of clientele and also school to work on. But what is next?  I know I am contented with good results but still I felt I was a bit stagnant.  I have to change some sort of strategy to make more my income more passive.

I am an avid buyer of online shopping.  Maybe because I find it more accessible for me to do everything online – from books, gadgets, clothes and  some other stuff I can found like Multiply Marketplace.

We were about to sleep then when hubby showed me the new commercial of Globe about Tattoo Tonino Lamborghini – the newest and fastest broadband stick which is also in You Tube video.

We have already a plug-it gadget but there were times we borrowed with each other since most our work is always on the road.  The new Globe mobile broadband dongle is the answer that we have to purchase one.

But what is the difference with the regular plug-it gadget that we have with Globe Tatoo Tonino Lamborghini:
