Trip to Las Piñas’ Villar Foundation

Trip to Las Piñas’ Villar Foundation

“There are points in our life that we do something that makes us happy. Learn to cope up. Take those positive things to do one step at a time. Just be patient and someday everything will come to reality.”

.

I got to worked before in Las Piñas area for almost two years and getting back again was a reminiscence of looking back comparing the “before and after” especially the Villar Foundation.

This time it was different.  We were tour around and oriented on the different projects spearheaded by Ms. Cynthia Villar which is the main purpose is to rehabilitate not only the environmental aspect but to uplift the livelihood and well-being of the people around.

These are  the following livelihood projects:

1. Coconut Weaving  located at Barangay E. Aldana

Concept:  To produce coconut net that can be use for slope protection and soil erosion control thus holding the plant’s root system which also absorbs water.

According to Engr. Dexter Gonzales,  instead of throwing away those green coconut husk as a waste material, its fiber can be drawn out to rope and can be weave as net.

.

Engr. Gonzales even shown to us the step-by-step procedure on how to do it:

  • Put the husk into decorticating machine that let to separate the fibers and dust.
  • Separate the fiber and dust it.
  •  Twine in preparation for a rope.
  • Weave the twined rope to produce net.

Villar Foundation - Cocoweaving

I got to seen this one in the southern area using abaca products. Good to know that those husks are effective way to protect environment. It has also created jobs along barangay from all walks of life – men, women like mother, grandmother while children can also be with them.

We have also personally met Divine who were working during our visit and how this livelihood project changed her life.

2.  Handloom Weaving Center located at Bernabe Compound, Pulang Lupa

Concept: To weave blankets that can be sent to victims of disasters in various parts of the Philippines.

According to Engr. Dexter, most of the workers were dropped-out from school and trained here to weave.  Each of them was able to do three (3) blankets a day.

.

Activities shown here were:

  • Arranging those thread running in a refurbished electric fan.
  • Once the thread was set-up on the loom, one can make a flat pieces of knitting based on the width size of the pattern.
  • Then the weave will begin setting the blanket to be long.

Weaving-Villar Foundation

3.  Eco-Center located at Barangay Pamplona Dos

Concept: Using biodegradable wastes to produce quality compost

This time, the barangay chairman, Mr. Roberto Villalon  oriented us on the steel composters that can produced almost 1,000 kilos of organic fertilizers a month.   One bag cost P 3.00 per kilo which is far beyond more affordable compared to other fertilizers sold in the market.

Trip to Las Pinas Villar Foundation-42

Mr. Villalon demonstrated to us the segregation and composting made of biodegradable waste. This was not new to me since we were practicing the same method with our Los Banos Garden Society in Laguna to nourish more the growth of our horticultural plants.

The process include:

  • Kitchen waste were picked-up by garbage collectors along the neighborhood and put it in a well-sealed white container.
  • These were manually mixed with trichodema and coconut dust that came from the coconut weaving.
  •  After thorough mixing, this will be placed in a composting hammer machine that would pulverized to produce an organic fertilizer.

Ecocenter-Villar Foundation

How about those plastic bags or sachets included with those trash?

Mr. Villalon showed to us the use of plastic materials  that can also be included in doing hollow blocks and bricks from a mix of one sack of cement and kilos of plastic.  Did you see those red and blue color below within those hollow blocks?  Those were plastics together with those cement that can beused as a filler.

.

4.  River Station and Livelihood Center  located at BF Resort Village Barangay Talon Dos

Concept:  Clean up the garbage and water lily floating around the river to avoid flooding

Whow, I was amazed to see lot of improvements in this historical river!

Way back then, I have to climb in a woody stairs, pay P 2.00  just to crossed over the fastest path going to Cavite  whenever I got a meeting with my client after a work in Las Piñas.

Lot of improvements, I may say!  If only I took those pictures way back then, we could compare how this river become so nature friendly together with those almost clean atmosphere of free flowing water bodies around and trees to support it.

Engr.  Gonzales told us that this was actually a historical dam that can be part of cultural heritage conceptualized by St Ezekiel Moreno (Patron Saint for Cancer victims) that would provide water capacity along the nearby areas.

.
.

5. Las Pinas Arts and Crafts  located at Caroline Masibay St.  BF Resort Village Barangay Talon Dos

Concept:  To convert water hyacinth into handicraft products

When I was working in Las Piñas, instead of going to the nearby mall, my first stop was going here in this arts and crafts to check those latest creations.

If budget permits, I would bought those native decorations at home or a gift to loved ones and friends.

I heart those materials intricately made out of dried water hyacinth stalks that can be converted to extra-ordinary handicrafts and can make one each home a stand-out.  Those interiors that can be use to as an accents to lights, furniture,  wall decor, cabinets and alike.  They also maximize the use of bamboo crafts that is very common product in the heart of Las Pinas.  Remember, their famous bamboo organ?
.

.

After our tour, we got to personally met and have lunch with Mrs. Cynthia Villar.

We got those casual talks sharing those experiences on how to mentor, monitor and especially spearheading this kind of advocacy.  It was truly a huge task to take to be on this kind of advocacy.

I have been to different NGO project but what stuck to my mind on those simple meet-ups where actions to initiate to make it a reality:

  • Its harmful consequences into environment can be best achieved if “someone would take those lead”.  Creating awareness is the first and foremost  the initial key.
  • A leader can only initiate being a role model and the main primary supporter.  All products hand-over like coconut net, blankets and handicraft were used by Las Pinas community and found to be effective in preserving the nature.
  • Together with the people around the community, stricter rule of banning like the use of plastic bags by the government can now be easily be supported.

This would really be a tough job.

But based on my assessment with Mrs.  Villar advocacy, there were really some points in life that we do something to make a dream a reality. Learn to cope up.   Take those positive steps one day at a time.  Just be patient and someday everything will come to reality.

Result For Week 1 – Immuvit Metafit Challenge

Result For Week 1 – Immuvit Metafit Challenge

Do not pressure yourself.  Enjoy doing it.  Regardless of  how days went by, everything will always be a journey.

Result For Week 1 - Immuvit Metafit Challenge

After one week of involving myself with Immuvit Metafit Challenge, I am writing this post to summarize what I have done for Week 1. With this sharing, one can engage the best out of this challenge just simply participating.

Again, I got to execute the 4-minute routine exercise suggested by Coach Jim Saret:

  • Set A -  jumping jack, squat, push-ups and  lunges
  • Set B – sealed jack, power/squat jack and push-ups

Hopefully, I got to burn those 600 calories as I am gaining weight and  to combat somatopause.

Recalling my post between Day 1 to 3 when I was in Cebu:

  • I did the 4-minute exercise  routine alternate sets in a day and got 3 rounds.
  • Got to also run (30 minutes) , swim (30 minutes) and walk (5 minutes) around the area buying or eating food in a restaurant.
  • For the food, I was able to cut down my rice in the morning and substitute it with bread.
  • Since I was alone during those consultancy work, I rather rest, eat quick lunch like sandwich.
  • At dinner, I substituted my meat with vegetables and sweet desserts with fruits.
  • I drank water for the whole three-day duration.  Still, I cannot avoid to drink coffee in the morning and evening for work to be awake

Fuente Cebu City

Between Day 4 and 5 workout at Anawangin, I have skipped the 4-minute exercise and did:

  • Swimming at the beach doing free style and floating (1 hour)
  • Trekking the hills (2 hours)
  • Walking along the whole beach shore taking photos (2 hours) – morning and afternoon
  • Drink lot of water but rarely drink cola even it is free
  • Bought fruits like mango and banana
  • Ate more fish than meat during meals

Anawangin Cove

From Day 6-7 back home, what I did was to start  again those routine before I open my computer early in the morning in our batcave – literally, this is what we call our home office, LOL!

  • I ended up 6 rounds in a row compared to other days where I got only 3 to 4 rounds
  • Instead of push-up on the wall, I did the push-up down which I think was more challenging
  • I got lot of sweats and catching more breaths when I started to aim for additional rounds
  • I was gasping for long after I finished all the rounds

Below were some of  the sample exercises that I did – Jumping Jack, Squat and Push-up

Immuvit Multifit Challenge -1-2

Immuvit Multifit Challenge -2-2

Immuvit Multifit Challenge -2

Hubby took those pictures and kids were giggling around.  I let them really see these exercises for them to encourage to join with me every morning.

Since I was out for almost a week at home, me and kids also started to do household chores like sweeping and mopping the floor, up and down together with kitchen and all the bedrooms. We definitely got those sweats around.  I supposed all calories that burn counts even cleaning the house,  LOL!

One of my food intakes was pancit bihon rich with lot of vegetables.  This was already my late merienda con dinner.

Pancit Bihon

Instead of sweet dessert at the mall, I substituted it with fruits at Mango-Ong’s sliced combination of green mango and singkamas with sweet bagoong.  Fresh and crunchy taste with the option to pick different variations of bagoong – from sweet to spicy.  Price is P 30.00.

Mango-One

Talking about accomplishments, did I earned something here?

  • Yes, for almost everyday, my body is aching especially those shoulder and legs.  Is this the effect that my fats are burning?   LOL! One thing for sure,  I become stronger.
  • Sometimes, I got those slight fever and headache in the morning.  When I started to do the exercise as I woke-up, it subsided and was gone at the end.
  • I had  those muddy clays in my hands/feet and small bruises in my leg while trekking the hills.  Best part, I reached to the top.  My morale boost up  reaching those goal.
  • There were days that I got to sleep early.
  • For almost a week now, I substituted my cola, frappes, milk tea  and ice tea with water.   Drinking of water increased more because of work-out.   Wow, I just found out that I can survived for one week without those.

Despite s of the days work,  late sleep, travel at night  and doing those extra physical activity for one whole week, my immune system started to boost up and got those lot of energy.  Maybe because I took those exercise, healthy food and  Immuvit at the side as my vitamins.

Immuvit contains herbal content like ginsengs (Korean and Siberian) that revitalize increase energy that would let sustain all day long.  With Immuvit content also of CoQ10, immune system started to boost up.  To learn more, check Immuvit Facebook Page.
Immuvit Metafit Challenge by Jinkee Umali of www.livelifefullest.com

For week 2, plans would be:

  • Still will continue the 4-minute routine but this time new sets of exercise.
  • Swimming and walking while taking photos at the beach this weekend with loved ones and friends
  • Running at the park in the morning
  • Including veggies and fruits in every meal

There you go!

Actually, even I have share this plan already, I can still meet challenging days ahead that would make one stop.   For that last first week, I got to include exercise even I was assigned in other places.   Yes, I continue to feel those cramps around my body.  No pain, no gain, right?

Along the way, I got also lessons learned aside from  those physical activities.  As much as possible,  I do not want to happen those mistakes again.

Do not also pressure yourself.  Enjoy doing it and definitely the feeling is awesome.  So regardless of  how days went by, everything will always be a journey.

What are you waiting for?  Join me as we rock those body to a fitness routine.

Race for Life

Race for Life

I am enjoying life by being an advocate and a fun run junkie.

You have seen several posts in this blog that entailed a worthy advocacy and funding it by means of running. Like to share to you some of  of my posts:

I make it a point to jog, walk and simply run twice a week  in our newly inaugurated Rizal Park here in Calamba, Laguna and if family are available, they will definitely join me.

For this November, I am again supporting another advocacy run called “Race for Life” which is the main theme is “Putting the FUN back in RUN”.

The main advocacy spearheaded by Real LIFE Foundation is proving scholarships to children who do not have the financial capability to education.   The foundation also invests in the character development of beneficiaries by mentoring them in leadership, integrity, faith and excellence.

The “Race for Life” will be happening this November12, Saturday at the Fort with the following category:

  • 3k race with registration fee of P 500.00
  • 5k race with registration fee of P 600.00
  • 10k race with registration fee of P 700.00

Exciting part of it is the“Amazing Race” – a big & small team category wherein one adult and one child (5-10 years old) will run, skip and hop.  Registration fee will be P 800.00.

Inclusions of all registration fee are race kit, finisher t-shirt, and a donation to Real LIFE Foundation.

Registration of the race opens last October 9 at Victory Fort Bonifacio.  You can still registered on the following stores which will also be available from Oct 10 onwards at:

  • Chris Sports (Glorietta, SM Megamall, Mall of Asia and SM North Edsa)
  • Nike Park (Bonifacio High Street branch), and
  • G/F Bookstore Every Nation Bldg., 32nd St. cor. University Pkwy, Bonifacio Global City

I did not compete in running but I enjoy the fun of breathing with the fresh air and a fast yet simple workout without me going to the gym.  Definitely, its an option to be healthy and freeing up one’s mind to think more.

If one can combine both the benefit of running, having the joy with it and at the same time, helping then I am “IN”.  Hope to see you this Saturday!

Cooking Marathon by Master Chefs

Cooking Marathon by Master Chefs

“It is good for workers to have an appetite; an empty stomach drives them on.” – Proverbs 16: 26

Cooking Marathon by Master Chefs

So much for the sixth month stint (January to June 2011), techie yet fulfilling work project as I look back all finished business with a WOW! July for me is an air especially last weekend got to celebrate high school reunion. The week ahead is a another milestone in my life, a kinda refreshing skills for me – that is to go back to my cooking hobby.

First stop is to indulge myself into cooking demo nearby south sponsored by SM Hypermarket, 10th year anniversary where I use to do my grocery stuff. What good about this cooking gig, this is free which offers to general public, twice a week for three months and what more, this is also prepared by top known chefs in the country.

Cooking Marathon SM Master Chefs

Why marathon?

  • There would be cooking demo to almost SM Hypermarket branches nationwide
  • Maximizing time to cook simpler yet delectable food which i personally experience
  • Techniques in using ingredients to indulge food into craving shared personally by the chef

Cooking Marathon by Master Chefs

What I am sharing with you is a simple dish that I learned to that cookout that we Filipinos love and what we are known for – the “Adobo” demonstrated by a guest chef – Chef John Paulo Sia.

Cooking Marathon by Master Chefs

Here it is:

Beef Adobo

Main ingredient will be beef sirloin cut into sukiyaki or long thin slices.

The secret of this recipe is marinating it 24 hours with these ingredients:

  • KNORR  liquid seasoning
  • KNORR tamarind soup base
  • garlic
  • pepercorns
  • bayleaf
  • canola oil

To cook, saute the marinated beef approximately less than 5 minutes and its done.

Was it that simple?

Cooking Marathon by Master Chefs

Everyone like me got the chance to taste the meal and what amazed me was the use of tamarind soup base which we only put in sinigang dishes.   The tamarind soup base can be a better alternative for marinating aside from lemon or calamansi.

Bloggers' Buffet

“Get something to happen quicker and better by striving to outdo your full potential.”

It was 2009-2010 when recession struck worldwide.  I was not that affected but still, there were tendencies that some of my training and consultancy work has to stop at the moment.   I suppose I can venture to other avenue of learning to make most of my time as I  choose  blogging. Definitely, I plunge to this new learning.  But it is not enough.

Still, I have to network with other bloggers and connect with them.  This is the reason behind why I like to join the Bloggers’ Buffet at Carol’s Texan 5.   Ten Minutes Tops! with participation of Club Travel Now are organizing this exclusive event for bloggers.

My idea is, if I can do it as fast as I can to be involved in the blogging event like this community then I AM IN!   I have already participated like attending seminars and events sharing bloggers’ learning experiences.  Great to know that through these different facets of knowledge, I can reapply and yet duplicate what other blogger does but mostly enjoying it.

I am also excited to see Carol’s Texan 5 first restaurant in this side of the metro which offers  chicken, ribs and some of American dishes like hamburger and roast beef.

Most of the food served are home made recipe of the owner, Carol.  If its personal dishes, foods are considered always better because it entails a lot of preparation in terms of time and effort just to serve quality dishes that would benefit to those person who will dine out.

Carol’s Texan 5 offers the following services:

  • Dine-in while enjoying the food and ambiance of the place
  • Delivery  where key areas are San Juan, Mandaluyong, Ortigas, Pioneer
  • Event Food Booths available for hire like company and school fair
  • Party Trays where you can order for special occasions
  • Functions where you can hold the event at their restaurant
  • Kiddie Meal Sets which is good for ordering meals in office and kid’s parties

There you go!  Hopefully, I can be part of this event where I can take my writing into the next level not just to inform, to teach and to entertain but more on lessons to learned from a blogger’s perspective sharing their personal story.

I Crave for Fish Dishes

I Crave for Fish Dishes

Healty Food by www.livelifefullest.com

“The joyful celebration of life is the sharing of healthy food, ambiance and most especially company of loved ones.”

Our family oriented us to healthy taste of fish and vegetable menu.  My grandmother which we fondly called Mommy is still alive at the age of 90. She still visited us and even cook us the fish dishes I heart so much – Diningding, an ilocano dish with lot of veggies top with inihaw na bangus.  Maybe this is her secret – being alive and still kicking. I can say, at her age, she do not have any health problem. My Mommy reaped the healthy benefits of a fish menu.

As a mother, I have a guilt feeling not serving fish dishes often to my kids due to busy schedule of my work.  But every time we visited our folks, they cooked those fish dishes and introduce my kids to love it. Some of these are fish sarsiado, sinigang na bangus either in guava or miso, relleno and among others.

Because of this, I cook almost twice a week a fish menu that sometimes my kids would tell me is there other fish dish menu that they can try to eat.   Great that I found a website that concentrate on fish dishes – I love Fish, http://ilovefish.ph/

I am follower of I Love Fish and even like it in facebook, http://www.facebook.com/ilovefish.ph.  Because of the video embedded on the website, each fish meal that is prepared is very easy for me to follow.

I am quite fret on preparing the dishes especially how to find a fresh fish.  My grandmother would always tell me to arrive early in a market to get the freshest fish.  How can I do that if I have do not have a time?

Thanks to Fishta Seafood,  http://www.fishtaseafood.com/ which I always see in supermarket like Rustan and Waltermart offered pompano, bangus and seabass which I can get anytime I want.  I remembered Fishta Seafood displayed a live pompano in aquarium tanks in one of the supermarkets.   Fishta Seafood directly handles the harvesting from fish farms and brings it to major fish markets, supermarkets, and groceries around Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

I am fortunate to attend the awarding ceremony of I Love Fish Video contest – http://ilovefish.ph/join-i-love-fish-video-contest/ to personally witness, talked to them and even congratulate them on sharing their fish dishes.

I Love Fish Video Contest, I Love Fish, www.livelifefullest.com, Jinkee Umali

I Love Fish Video Contest sponsored by Fishta Seafood aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and awareness of different varieties in cooking fish dishes.

Because of variant Filipino creativity, the video contest honored winners with plaque and cash reward.  For the complete set of winners, here is the link:   http://ilovefish.ph/ with their winning video.

I like to share with you one of the video won by Edgar Joseph Baltazar, Lapu-lapu Teriyaki with Asparagus:

I Love Fish Video Contest, I Love Fish, www.livelifefullest.com, Jinkee Umali

As I ended the night, my life reflections let me a look-out on how to indulge to food and savor the healthy goodness behind it.  Here it is:

  • Whenever I am stress, I make myself indulge to food as a reward and since this is not planned, I ended up in high calories food like pizza or hamburger.  I have to get around by changing my bad eating habits, committed my meal plan with calorie intake to watch for.
  • A meal is not complete if not shared with the family or friends.  We all love sharing food and from there we share also ourselves by exchanging stories.   Nothing can savor the best ingredients of any meal but the company of loved ones and friends.

There you have it!  Hopefully, more to come with I Love Fish and Fishta Seafood.  I will definitely join with this future contest not only because of the rewards behind but to promote healthy living.

I am preparing to share my fish recipe later on –  Ginataang Pompano with Pako. Wish me luck and stay tuned for more.

I Heart Earth at Nuvali – Sta. Rosa Laguna

I Heart Earth at Nuvali – Sta. Rosa Laguna

I Heart Earth

“We are only living in one earth, be involve – don’t blow it rather cherish it and mostly, love it.”

Ever since we transferred here in Laguna, me and hubby oriented our children to appreciate nature. Rather than going to the mall, we introduced them that there are other activities to be done like biking, jogging, reading books, picnic but especially to appreciate green environment.

One of the places aside from U.P. Los Banos oval field where we jog and have a picnic under fertility tree is Nuvali at Sta. Rosa Laguna.

There were times that I accompanied my parents to visit the place and they simply love it. I just like them to see that our decision to move in the south is really a worth having this nature very close to our home.

Aside from the activities I mentioned, here are some unique activities everyone can enjoy:

  • Feeding the Koi

Hundreds of them literally jumping out of the water grabbing the food as all of them are flourished the side of the lake.  Koi’s feeds can be buy at P 15.00 per pack.

  • Water taxi ride along the eco-river

The trip travel is a 10-minute ride around the lagoon area that has fountains and bridge to enjoy it more. The water taxi can accommodate 10 persons. Cost of the ride per person is P 30.00.

  • Evolving Center

Evolving Center is located at the end of the lagoon – sort of museum structure which exhibits interactive and harmonious lifestyle in green environment.

I am passionate with recyclables and green materials. I would love to have this set of eco-friendly furniture to our home.

Now, I am seating them already.  Can’t remove myself and love to take it home.

The Evolving Center also showcase the green architecture like how to sustain and conserve water along the area.

Nuvali - I Love Earth, Nuvali, Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna,Live Life Fullest, www.livelifefullest.com, www.calamba-online.com, Jinkee Umali

These are some of the eco-attraction I can show to you.  Personally you have to visit the place to see for yourself.

I would like to share with you this simple video on the plans they are offering which I myself personally saw some of this development:

This is not just an eco-friendly tour.  There are definitely life lesson reminders I have learned here as I like to share this with you.  Actually we know it already and sometimes we do not bother to practice it:

  • Involve our loved ones especially our children to a more worth while activities that will appreciate nature at its best.  Their playful hobby do not stop in playing video/on-line games or just watching cable television.  Go out, stroll, bike and jog.
  • Practice recycles by separating our trashes from biodegradable to non-biodegradable which will begin right thru our home.
  • Involve ourselves in eating healthier food like vegetables and fruits
  • Use eco-friendly bag or native bag instead of plastics during our groceries or going to market

I am quite fret with the ever-increasing populations who are transferring in the area.  Hopefully not only the developer but the neighboring community will stick to their commitment of sustainable environment and maintain how to best take care of them by continuous awareness to our mother earth-  God’s ever marvelous creation.

Anyway beside these worth while activities, Nuvali always in-store activities every month to excite their visitors in this eco-community environment.  I for one will definitely bring the whole family one of these weekends to make their summer more eco-friendly.

This month of May 2011, Nuvali organized an event called “I  Love Earth” – designed to educate environment and understand the knowledge in living a healthy lifestyle.  Check their banner announcement below for the complete set of activities. For more information, click their website link  - http://www.nuvalievoliving.com/

Hopefully, when you are just along the south  (Tagaytay, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas), you can check Nuvali’s place now that there are lot of attractions and activities this summer.

Do let me know your insights and hopefully this simple place return us back to what really means what an urban living is…

“Akyat Pinatubo” – Climb for a Cause Summer 2011

“Akyat Pinatubo” – Climb for a Cause Summer 2011

Haay, why is it that every time there would be a worthy event like this, it turns out I cannot attend due to work related errands.

End Hunger – Walk the World 2011

End Hunger – Walk the World 2011

“Life is fully loaded. Begin one step at a time and make a difference.”

End Hunger-Walk the World 2011, Live Life Fullest, www.livelifefullest.com, Jinkee Umali

My hectic day was too busy at that time. Too stressful – working still even I was in the seminar, knowledge overloaded as I call it a day and anticipating my bed to sleep.

Still, I got a night invitation to attend about World Food Program (WFP) End Hunger – Walk the World 2011. If an advocacy is humanitarian awareness, you can count on me to participate even I was too tired. No ifs, no questions – I am definitely “IN”.

Based on the Walk the World website link, the said event  will:

  • Bring awareness to the issue of child hunger and malnutrition

  • Raise funds for school feeding activities of WFP.

Funds raised from this event shall go directly to WFP’s Emergency School Feeding Program in conflict-affected areas of Central Mindanao.

Actress and singer KC Concepcion is one of WFP strongest allies. As National Ambassador, KC has gone to Mindanao to visit with the beneficiaries of the WFP school meals program, participated in walks here and in other countries and continues to spread the word about the fight to end hunger.

KC Concepcion will once again help promote Walk the World Isang Hakbang Pilipinas 2011 through radio commercials and TV guestings and will join 15,000 runners and walkers at the SM Mall of Asia on May 29.

It is my first time to hear about a “walking event” and definitely a worthy advocacy at the same time.    Ever since, have endearment to children not only I am a mother of three but also placing myself to be of assistance to global hunger and malnutrition.  If a simple step of walking can make a difference to those children, why not take an initial step.  This will come for me first.

During the event, they let us wrote our pledge and here is my share:

WFP Walk The World 2011

I am starting it now by posting this to my blog – a first step as how it touches my life to be aware with this advocacy.

WFP Walk The World 2011

I have seen also a facebook thread calling all Pinoy Bloggers to participate in this event to show the support to end hunger.

WFP Walk The World 2011
