Homey Dwelling Place with Teacup

by in Food

“A home away from home is a dwelling of good food and coffee around you –

an abode where, when you have to go there but the best thing, a place to take you in.”

If 2011 was a great blast for me in terms of career and personal growth, I am anticipating that 2012 will be another great year.  As I said, it will bold, fierce and more focus.

More so, clients go far and far up to the northern part…  Well, this is work afterall.   One can consider it a “happy problem”.  From there, you will find ways to schedule and compress your time. Do worthwhile activity that would compensate more your productivity and at the end, you must have results.

From there, I was scouting for resto at the north which is quite secluded I may say -  we  can discuss solemnly, have wifi  where we can do online and got this homey  ambiance feeling.

That is how I found Teacup – a new resto along Mother Ignacia area which got all the work environment I need thru a recommendation also of fellow foodies.

I am person who love interiors which brings home out of the working place that makes for everyone be comfortable sitting, hang-out and just chill-out while working and do some bonding at the same time.  Teacup’s homey style is actually my relaxing escape to my home office while waiting or being early then have time for work.  Their decorations also captured me.  According to my fellow foodie, those displays were home stuffs and painted artworks were done by the owner’s kids.  Teacup got also this small conference room for rent for closed meeting and gatherings like product demos, parties, events, reunions and alike.

Now for the food. You know me! My meal started with coffee and dessert. Sometimes if still my appetite permitted it, I also ended up with the same thing. But of course, you have to impress me how delicious and sinful it is!

Here were some of the desserts available at Teacup. Have tasted their coffee, ube cake, chocolate cake and their cookies.  For the sliced cakes, cost ranges between P 60.00  to P 100.00

All of them were home baked by the owner herself transforming this resto as an extension of their home sharing desserts love by her family – from blueberry to strawberry cheesecake, chocolate cake, oatmeal/raisin cookies, ube halaya cake, red velvet cake and brownies.

Since this a teacup resto, expect lot of beverages to choose from – to coffee, latest craze today like milk teas and milk shakes.  Price range from P 45.00 to P 120.00.

Teacup also shared casual, home style food that their family love to eat.

One example for the main entree was the Beef Salpicao – tenderloin beef sauteed in lots of garlic, olive oil and butter.  Another one which I will definitely bring my son with me was the Chicken Cordeon Bleu -  slices of tasty roll of chicken breast  with a filling of ham and cheese topped with  gravy.  This one was his favorite.  Another one, that we will be coming back for taste was the Grilled Pork Chop with Pineapple Glazed. All meals are served with rice and buttered vegetables.

I have also have the chance to try their Meaty Lasagna.  Big serving!  Yes, its really meaty between the layers for each pasta!  The sauce, topped cheese and creaminess were just enough.

Too pricey, I may say ranging from P 150.00 to 300.00 per serving. Ahh,  pretty good value for the money I may say. Now, I miss my family here.

Overall, love the style of the homey ambiance, all food were great and staffs were courteous.  Simple yet delicious and sooo relaxing.  Two thumbs up recommendations for my family, friends and relatives at the metro.  Actually, can’t wait for the family to bring here and taste that homey dwelling and will definitely share my experiences here!  Truly, a home away from home…
